Melissa’s introduction to the field began in a personal way when her little brother was diagnosed with autism and began receiving services. She saw firsthand the impact of quality and compassionate intervention, which inspired Melissa to pursue a career in the field. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, both from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She has been working in the field since 2019 and became a BCBA in 2024. Melissa has worked with individuals across various settings, ranging from early intervention to adult services, supporting challenging behaviors, social-emotional needs, and other developmental needs.
Melissa is passionate about increasing access to quality services, particularly in underserved communities. In 2021, Melissa had the opportunity to start a personal initiative, volunteering in schools for individuals with autism in Nairobi, Kenya. That experience further deepened her commitment to making ABA accessible to those who need it most. Melissa’s goal is to continue making meaningful contributions to families and the field of behavior analysis.
